Artifact 1: Resume
This was the first assignment of the semester and I believe that it set me up to be successful with the decision of my match up teacher at Rocky Mountain High School and now, my student teaching placement. I learned that there is a difference between my professional teaching resume compared to my artistic design resume. Learning different vocabulary and phrases helped me understand what is valued in the teaching field compared to others. Creating an Education Resume grew me to become professional and worthy of potential leadership opportunities. The resume gave me an opportunity to show my involvement in the community other than college course requirement. Volunteer work is very important to me and is a way that I can showcase what I have done.
Artifact 2: Professional Disposition Reflection
Connecting to my resume, reflecting on my own level of dispositions help me recognize my strengths and what I still have to learn. I learned about the professional teaching dispositions in my first education class and has become a constant tool for reflection and evaluation. As I step into student teaching, I still want to say that I am developing, but learning constantly. EDUC 450 was a great opportunity to grow in areas I haven't gotten the opportunity to which excites me for the future.
